Summer to Fall Transition Fashion

Today marks the last day of summer and I couldn't be more excited! Fall is my favorite season and I can't wait to get into this year's trends. But the only problem with this time of year is that every morning feels like January and every afternoon feels like July. Your summer wardrobe leaves you shivering and your fall sweaters will probably send you to the ER for heatstroke. So what can you wear?

Ripped denim

When it's time to retire your shorts but it's still too warm for jeans, you can turn to ripped jeans for support. They'll keep you warm in the morning, but the rips can help cool you down in the afternoon.

Off the shoulder tops

A personal favorite look of mine is the off the shoulder trend. They're versatile and cute and great for both ends of the temperature spectrum. Wear a jacket in the morning if it's really cold and take it off midday.

Military jacket

Military jackets and bomber jackets are great. They're a grunge and cute combined. Paired with the classic LBD and you've got the perfect fall combo. It's a great layered look because you can just take the jacket off if it gets warmer.

Ankle boots

When you want your look to scream fall but you don't want to overheat, ankle boots are the perfect compromise. They're cute and always trendy, and will keep you cooler than knee-high or thigh-high boots.
