Kohl's Back to School Haul

September is just around the corner, and the only thing that gets me excited about heading back to school is going clothes shopping! The first day of school is a million times better when your outfit is poppin'.

Kohl's is my favorite place to shop for back-to-school clothes because they have so many cute styles, and I always leave with something completely out of my comfort zone. Branching out (only when it comes to style!) is my favorite. So, I wanted to show off what I bought today, and get a little body positive.

Fall = oversized sweaters. And of course, I got two in my staple colors: navy green and maroon. These are SO's Perfect Pullovers.

I hate wearing pants, so of course I bought a few dresses. I fell in love with these Love, Fire halter dresses, so I bought one in maroon and one in an out-of-comfort-zone baby blue. I think my dog is the real model of the last picture, though.

This dress was so out of my comfort zone that I had to try it on. Yellow is one the colors I refuse to wear, so I had absolutely no yellow in my closet before today. But this dress is so light and comfortable that I had to have it. It's wrinkly and desperately needs to be ironed, but I'm swooning over it.

Now that I'm in college and only have three classes, I don't need a backpack! So I bought this cute Mudd faux-leather over the shoulder bag that's just big enough for my laptop and a couple of textbooks.

So there you have it! I'm pretty excited about my mini-Kohl's haul, and I actually can't wait for school to start so I can wear all of these! Recently, I've gotten to be pretty confident in my body and I actually love to show it off. If I had tried any of these things on a few months ago, it would have been a definite no. I wore only black, and absolutely nothing that showed off my figure. I hated my legs and I hated my arms. I wore only baggy jeans and long-sleeved shirts.

But everybody and every body is beautiful. Life is pretty boring if you spend it trying to cover yourself up. Wear what you want to wear, not what you think will hide your "flaws."
